Now remember, we know from John 9:1-3, that in this time period, the disciples thought disease, etc, were caused due to someones sin, but when they ask who's sin caused the man to be blind, Jesus replied 3)"Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him."
So, this is why I believe he gave them the Sermon immediately following what they had just witnessed. But, that's my opinion. You will find 36 different interpretations about this section of scripture containing the Beatitudes Matthew 5:3-12.
3)"Blessed are those who are poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven, 4)Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted, 5)Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth..."
I truly recommend you read these scriptures and refresh your spirit with the blessings Jesus teaches us on the Mount.
My prayer for you today is that God will display his works through you so everyone you see today may be Blessed, just as you are. In Christs' name, Amen.
