Not physical healing, but a deep down, soul cleansing healing.
As many of you have, I have had my fair share of gut wrenching heartache.
God has pulled me out of some dark places, and I mean dark places, of pain, sorrow and despair.
If you are under the impression that when He does pull us up, or when He heals us that we forget, you need a new impression!
Every wound leaves a scar. And my heart is full of them.
But the beauty of it is, they remind me of what Christ did for me.
He knows my pain, my sorrow, my despair, my tears, my grief, my agony, my desperation, my guilt, my blood, sweat and tears! He knew them all on the cross.
His suffering washed every stain from me.
My pain and scars are little to bare compared to his sacrifice for me.
But being that I am of human flesh and blood, some days I need a good soul cleansing healing to be reminded of that.
There are numorous verses on healing, but I love the simplicity of
Exodus 15:26 "I am the LORD that heals you."
That is it. Plain and true. He heals.
All we have to do is ask and accept. We don't have to forget. We shouldn't forget.
If we forgot, how would we ever know how wonderful He is? How would we ever be able to give testimony to others? How would we ever be sufficiantly grateful to Him?
So my prayer for you today is that you ask God to cleanse and heal your soul and give you the strength and courage to remember so that you can tell others who don"t know His grace and mercy. I pray that you will be reminded of His sacrifice for you and you will know that He suffered for you and He suffers with you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
